This cartoon brought me back to our experiences with our wonderful friend, Scotty the shetland sheepdog. He is gone now 4 years. Provided us with wonderful companionship and fun. He used to “herd’ the pool sweep around the pool. Another dog game for a herder.
My Corgi plays this game!
Omigod, I wrote a story about how much I admire dogs by watching them play with sprinklers!
Here’s a picture with my Bernese waiting for the sprinklers to go off…

also known as mole chasing
Another “Oh yes I can relate!” Also great sketch.
We used to have a horse who would follow the sprinkler around.
Ain’t pets grand???
I love this one. My dog loves to play in the water shooting out of the hose and this reminds me of him. He is a 10-year-old Jack Russell named Patch.
Reminds me of our Lab/Pit who made her own sprinkler out of the 25 foot plastic hosing that was connected to the sump pump. She would attack the hose every time the pump drained and eventually made a pretty neat sprinkler. I think I replaced that hose 4 times during that rainy summer.
