This cartoon is totally awesome. It’s masterful. I love everything about it. It’s so awesome how you were artistically able to boil down Maximus’ story to 4 words (plus an awesome drawing, of course). I like your use of light and shadow and the cross hatch simulation of value. What software did you use to get the drawing to auto-draw like that? I’m guessing it’s Flash, but can you give me some details? How did you get it to do that? It looks like a hand drawing but since it auto-draws you must have built the drawing in some sort of draw tool. Thanks and congrats on a huge talent.

I love this! We got a rescue beagle mix a couple of years ago and she’d always been crated when left alone in the house. At that time, we hadn’t ever crated any of our dogs, so we didn’t really think we needed to crate her. Oh, that was an expensive lesson.

Everything was fair game for her. She ate an mp3 player and some obscenely expensive headphones. She gnawed on the Tivo remote. She got up on the kitchen counter and ate a whole loaf of bread. She ate an entire bag of individually wrapped raspberry CreamSavers (by Life Savers – she unwrapped all of them, amazingly enough), then yakked it up, staining the carpet red. She didn’t chew up the furniture, but that was about it.

We bought her a crate and nicknamed her Hurricane Tippy. I’m happy to say that she doesn’t have to be crated when we aren’t home now, but we do have to police the house for food she can reach.

Oh my gosh I’m crying laughing so hard at this! Especially here in South Louisiana we have horrid hurricane seasons! Have yet to see a client with a dog named hurricane but I bet this cartoon could inspire some! LOVE IT!!!

Oh my…I am beginning to worry as our Bentley moves away from the sleeping infant-puppy stage. We had a reality check when he grew about a foot overnight!~ :)
