Well, I don’t blame Apollo. That’s what all of us would love to do, right?

Oh Boy, isn’t this the truth. One of our pet-sitters (for Everything & The Dog) came in to do a mid-day potty break at a client’s home and found this exact scene.
Bob, Boy Bloginator PitBull Extra Ordinary, says that he would never, ever do such a naughty thing. And if you believe that, it isn’t snowing in Leesburg, at this very minute. We are having a mini-blizzard.
Keep us smilin’

OHOH….I have to tell you a Border Collie story.
My very first BC, Frodo, is a brilliant dog. (aren’t they all???) I used to name his toys, and I would only have to name them once, and if I asked him to get them, he would bring them to me. He had Lambikins, Sheltie, tuggy…
His first Christmas, he was just 9 months old. I bought him a soccer ball, and wrapped it. I tossed it to him Christmas morning, and said “YAY! MERRY CHRISTMAS!” He tore the wrapping paper off, and he had a blast with his ball. During the day, people arrived and would call out “Merry Christmas!” and Frodo would run and get his soccer ball. Henceforth, and for the last 7 years, a large ball has been a Merry Christmas. “Frodo, go get Merry Christmas” and he would run and get you his soccer ball or his basketball!

At least he didn’t mistake it for indoor plumbing like our Border Collie Miki did years ago. It was his first Christmas with us. We set up the tree, my daughter Jen, then 4, put a cardboard manger scene under the tree, and we decided to have supper before decorating it. Good thing. Miki “watered” the tree, ruining the manger scene, but otherwise no damage. He subsequently leaned his manners and never repeated this mistake.

It’f funny a few years after it’s happened to you. Years ago, after adopting our third collie, a pup, and having another young collie in the house, we came home to find the tree on it’s side with all the ornaments broken. My concern was immediately broken glass and cut up paws. So, we went to a table tree for safety. Same story. So now, we only have wall decor at Christmas and no longer put up a tree. It bothers some but we ALL enjoy Christmas a lot more at our house.

So ingenious. So different, but right on. I love it. Great site for animals lovers like myself. Fun! Merry Christmas to all.
