Met Riddle, at Ruff House, he is that and more. Quite inspirational. Loves life and won’t let anything get in the way of enjoying it. Sal has more than one Border Collie like this; not blind, but with the same heart, an amazing breed.

Hi Jim and Bruce!
You guys are amazing. We are so deeply touched by this tribute to our beautiful boy. Thank you. It was the best Christmas gift ever!
Sally, Ruth and Don, and all the denizen of Ruff House and HHBCR!

This dog inspires, delights and brings tears to your eyes with his heart and sheer will.

If you ever have the opportunity to see Sally and Riddle together -grab it! Riddle adores his “Mum” and the love and trust between the two is what Rescue is all about.

Love you Sally, HHBCR, Ruff House and RIDDLE!

We have three Border Collies from Hull’s Haven and they all have amazing spirit and inspirational stories…Sally and Hull’s Haven are amazing rescues that are part of a larger network of rescues that help dogs from Canada and the US! Far away or close to home there is always someone who cares! :-) Riddle you rock!

We have two Border Collies from Hull’s Haven. We salute Sally Hull for her amazing dedication to these wonderful animals! If there are saints in dog heaven Sally is one of them.

Wow – what a beautiful inspiration to us all. And a shining example of the fact that *animals* don’t perceive their *handicaps*, only humans do. Blessings on Riddle’s wonderful family!

this is a cool video of BCs and sheep

Joan Willner December 14, 2009 at 1:17 pm

What a beautiful video. I love border collies but can’t have them because my husband has asthma and they shed. If I could I would have two and do agility with them.
Sorry I cannot give out hugs for the happiness I feel after watching this story. I will send xoxo to all by cyberspace. Enjoy every minute with him. Keep up the great work.

That is so wonderful! Thank you so much for honoring disabled animals! They can be as happy and active as any other animal. Here’s the story of Evelyn, a black Lab who is deaf and blind, and still very playful and happy – http://www.thedailytail.com/nonfiction/a-new-game-begins/

This is an awesome testimonial to the rescue people and also the breed!

Riddle is one amazing border collie

Elaine Morris December 14, 2009 at 5:15 pm

That is absolutely the most cool dog I have ever seen.

Susie Harrie December 22, 2009 at 5:16 pm

We also have two border collies from Hulls Haven and we can never thank Sally enough for all she does for this magnificent breed of dog (and others). Her dedication to canines is extraordinary and she’s pretty sweet, too!
Merry Christmas Sally and give the dogs hugs and kisses from Susie and Michael, Missy, Lila and Gemma.

Go Riddle!!!! You are one AWESOME dog!!!!

I used to be a member of the Weimaraner Club of America. The montly newsletter would always have several brag or in memorium pages. The most memorable was an in memorium of a Weim girl that had passed away at 14 years old, having achieved many awards in her lifetime, including master hunter at the age of two (or shortly after)…after she lost both of her eyes (surgically removed) to disease.

This just made my day, even though I sit here with tears running down my face.
Riddle is such an amazing dog. He deserves all of the love, hugs and kisses that he gets.
My thanks and gratitude go out to everyone that does rescue work.
Riddle is so lucky to have been rescued, but I know that you feel like the lucky ones to be able to live with such an wonderful doggy.
The picture is great and something I will go back and look at and view the video many times.
I feel like the lucky one everyday with all of my rescued animals.
They bring so much love and joy to our lives.

I remember looking at Riddle’s cartoon, video and checking out Hull’s Haven soon after I found Draw the Dog. WOW. Now, I have a blind Bloodhound – 6 y/o female who was used as a breeder; she had an eye infection as a tiny puppy, so has been blind her whole life. I thought I would have to find a companion dog for her, put bells up, never move anything. use scent for steps, etc. HA. Katey has what I consider an ENERGIZED Bloodhound nose. Her nose serves as her “eyes.” She moved herself from the outside pen into the yard w/the pack – loves being with the other dogs, then into the house. She now sleeps on the floor next to my bed, going up and down the stairs. I do try to walk in front of her going down as the carpet is old and slippery. Kudos to Riddle, Katey and all dogs as well as humans who continue to “see” themselves as WHOLE!
