Now that’s a punch line :-) . As I watched the drawing take place I couldn’t help but wondering, “Is that little guy doing what I think he is?”, then came the caption. Too funny. Poor doggy.

LOL… This is great!!

I remember a very young boy asking me how I knew which of my dogs were a boy or a girl. My answer of course, “the boy wears a blue collar and the girl, a pink one!!”

This is so funny. Bob and I are both laughing. I swear Bob loves to watch the cartoons draw themselves, and let me tell you Burner is one patient doggie.
You are the best!

This is soooooo funny. I can’t imagine any dog putting up with that. Great dog no doubt.

As the late Burner’s owner, thank you for all of the great comments. I suppose I should point out that he had recently retired from the show ring when the incident occurred that inspired this cartoon. So, getting “felt-up” was nothing unusual to him and the little boy was actually extremely gentle–very unusual for a toddler his age! When this happened, Burner was actually surrounded by children petting him and the little boy was the last to get there and thus left with only the back end to pet. I lost Burner to lymphoma a few years ago and memories like these are ones I really cherish. That the cartoon debuted on my birthday makes it even more special.

My Dobie, Jaxom did this exact same thing when my toddler also did the exact same thing! You could almost see the beads of sweat popping out on his forehead as he looked at me, PLEADING to make her stop! She said, “Ball!” in the sweetest little voice. I couldn’t get over there fast enough to rescue poor Jax. He was SUCH a good boy!
